History often repeats itself.
It is indeed amazing that retired Air Force Chaplain, Major Eva Christine Beatty Sorrow's daughter, Callie Sorrow will be preaching at Christian Life Worship Center this Sunday, July 24.
Christy Beatty Sorrow, daughter of the Rev. Dr. and Mrs. G. Earl Beatty, began her two-year full time ministry at Tarkenton Memorial Church in 1986 to prepare for the Air Force Chaplaincy. It was at Tarkenton Memorial Church that Christy met the young man she would fall in love with and marry. He is Rick Sorrow, the son of James and Polly Allen Sorrow, and brother of Brenda Sorrow Terry.
And now, after almost 30 years, Callie will be preaching from the same pulpit where her mother, Christy, preached as she served the church as Dr. Hugh H. Morgan's associate pastor.
Bishop Tim Lamb, superintendent of LifePoint Ministries (Georgia Conference) made this significant assignment until the interim pastor, Matthew Adams, will begin his six months interim pastorate at Christian Life Worship Center.

The church is located in Hoover, near the Galleria, the largest indoor shopping mall in the southeast.

She volunteered with Princess Night Ministries to minister to women in the sex trade in Fulton Industrial District in Atlanta, GA. But there is more for you see Callie Sorrow is a high energy young woman with exceptional gifts and talents and she served as the Children's Minister of Life Springs Community Church, January to April 2013.
As the former pastor of Tarkenton Memorial and Director/Endorser of Chaplains Ministries, IPHC, I want to encourage you to visit our church, Christian Life Worship Center, 125 Kathwood Drive, Athens, GA 30607, to support Callie Sorrow as she preaches to us. The church is located just off US 129 Highway, one mile north of the Athens perimeter highway. Morning worship begins at 11 o'clock. See you Sunday, July 24.
Our congregation will be thrilled to learn that Charles Till who served as our choir director and song leader will be directing the singing, and leading a choir this Sunday. We will sing the Gospel songs and hymns our people love. Last night, Wednesday, we had a fantastic choir rehearsal and it went so well, we decided to have a second choir rehearsal on Friday evening, July 22, at 6 o'clock. We had a special prayer that the Holy Spirit will fall upon us as we sing and worship God on Sunday morning. We firmly believe it will. We know it can and will happen based on our experience in the past and our continuing trust in Jesus Christ.
You are invited to come to the fire--fire of Pentecost that will engulf and empower us to witness to Jesus Christ.
