Bishop Doug Beacham, the presiding Bishop of the IPHC, has shared with Hugh's News the homegoing of Bishop Gordon McDonald, the General Superintendent of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Canada.
According to Bishop Beacham, Gordon McDonald passed away around 4:30 PM Sunday afternoon, June 21. He was at home surrounded by his wife and three sons. He quickly went down over the past two weeks. Throughout this 18 month process since the initial diagnosis, Gordon has always said, "Cancer dies, Gordon lives." What a wonderful statement of faith.
The funeral plans are difficult for the family due to the Canadian border still being closed. The article for IPHC has basically been written by Shirley Spencer, so we are just on a timeline process. If you are on facebook, you may find additional information there.
