Dear Hugh:
I count it a privilege to be one of the over 6,000 readers of Hugh's News and share the experience with many folks in 22 nations.
The News has and continues to be a vital link in the ability to feel an integral part of a wonderful family. The blend of humor, Scripture, inspiration, history and the ever present personal warmth has blessed my life as I have read the News at home and during my ministry travels.
Your ongoing support for the members of the military and their families has been a pronounced encouragement to me. Thank you for keeping us all informed of the great work done by our IPHC chaplains who serve with distinction.
May the Lord Bless you and Melvine with health and energy to continue this insightful and meaningful ministry.
With deep appreciation
Gordon McDonald
General Superintendent
Pentecostal Holiness Church of Canada
[Editor's Comment: I am greatly blessed by Bishop Gordon McDonald's exceptional tribute to Hugh's News and my efforts over the last 20 years to publish Hugh's News to a wonderful Christian church family known as the International Pentecostal Holiness Church as well as the body of Christ worldwide.
Gordon McDonald's love for world missions is noteworthy. In the providence of God He allowed me to serve as the director of World Missions for the Alabama and Georgia Conferences more than 15 years and as a member of the IPHC World Missions Board for 8 years. It was the World Missions Board meetings that I experienced Gordon's great love for Global Evangelism and missionaries. His keen observations and valuable contributions in our discussions were of inestimable value and far-reaching implications.
Moreover, his love for our USA military was demonstrated by his generous giving to help me purchase Psalm 91 Prayer Bandannas for our soldiers and marines in combat. One of Bishop Gordon McDonald's sons is an officer in Special Forces of the United States Army. We are so proud of his service to our country.
It is noteworthy that we have more than 100 Canadian subscribers to Hugh's News. What a blessing our Canadian fellow Christians are to us in the United States of America.]
