Chaplain Terry Kesling was born in Nashville, Tennessee, but grew up in Lakewood, Ohio, on the West Side of Cleveland. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Emmanuel College School of Christian Ministries, Franklin Springs, Georgia and a Master of Divinity degree from Oral Roberts University School of Theology in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In his early ministry, he and his wife, Pam, served several churches by leading youth groups, teaching children’s church, developing Sunday school campaigns, and overseeing a variety of Christian education programs and events. He also has nearly 8 years counseling experience working with troubled youth and families.
Chaplain Kesling is ordained by the North Carolina Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. He has been an Army Chaplain for over 25 years, and will retire at the end of June with 20 years of active federal service.
Prior to entry onto Active Duty in January 1998, Chaplain Kesling was the Battalion Chaplain for the 1st Battalion, 252d Armor Regiment, in the North Carolina National Guard, serving for 5 1/2 years in that position. His Active Duty service has included assignments in various types of units, both here in the United States and twice in Germany. He was deployed twice, to Bosnia, from August 1999 to March 2000, and Iraq, from May 2003 to July 2004.
During their time in the military, Terry and Pam have been ministry partners. They have visited the sick, comforted the grieving, and counseled those seeking godly wisdom. They’ve preached, taught, and led worship in military chapels where they’ve served. Throughout their time in the Army, Pam has had a vibrant ministry to military women, serving in many leadership positions in the chapel ministry, Protestant Women of the Chapel.

Victoria is married to Micah Presley and they have 4 children: Levi (age 8), Charlotte (age 7), Naomi (age 3) and Elliana (6 months). May I invite you to attend the Sunday school class Melvine and I attend. It is called the Celebration Class that is a cross generational gathering of various ages of adults that meets on Sunday mornings to celebrate Jesus and study God's Holy Word, the Bible.
Lavon and Arlette Revells are the teachers or facilitators. There is never a dull moment and they know how to get class members involved in the discussion of the subject material. The class meets on the lower level of our educational wing of Christian Life Worship Center, in a classroom known as Stephanie's Place, named in loving memory of the life and legacy of Stephanie Ellen Morgan, a dedicated educator during her adult life. You may enter the classroom from the parking lot to the right of the rose garden that is in full bloom.
Melvine and I are members of this Sunday school class, and we invite you to join with us and many others who enjoy this Bible study class. The class begins at 10 a. m. at Christian Life Worship Center in Athens, GA.
The church is located at 125 Kathwood Drive, one mile north of the Athens Perimeter just off US Highway 129.
