"Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or 'That's Michael, He's a doctor.'
A small voice at the back of the room rang out, "And there's the teacher, she's dead."
The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture.

Chaplain Terry Kesling was born in Nashville, Tennessee, but grew up in Lakewood, Ohio, on the West Side of Cleveland. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Emmanuel College School of Christian Ministries, Franklin Springs, Georgia and a Master of Divinity degree from Oral Roberts University School of Theology in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In his early ministry, he and his wife, Pam, served several churches by leading youth groups, teaching children’s church, developing Sunday school campaigns, and overseeing a variety of Christian education programs and events. He also has nearly 8 years counseling experience working with troubled youth and families. Chaplain Kesling is ordained by the North Carolina Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. He has been an Army Chaplain for over 25 years, and will retire at the end of June with 20 years of active federal service. Prior to entry onto Active Duty in January 1998, Chaplain Kesling was the Battalion Chaplain for the 1st Battalion, 252d Armor Regiment, in the North Carolina National Guard, serving for 5 1/2 years in that position. His Active Duty service has included assignments in various types of units, both here in the United States and twice in Germany. He was deployed twice, to Bosnia, from August 1999 to March 2000, and Iraq, from May 2003 to July 2004. During their time in the military, Terry and Pam have been ministry partners. They have visited the sick, comforted the grieving, and counseled those seeking godly wisdom. They’ve preached, taught, and led worship in military chapels where they’ve served. Throughout their time in the Army, Pam has had a vibrant ministry to military women, serving in many leadership positions in the chapel ministry, Protestant Women of the Chapel. Terry and Pam have been married for 34 years. They have 2 daughters, Victoria and Stephanie. Victoria is married to Micah Presley and they have 4 children: Levi (age 8), Charlotte (age 7), Naomi (age 3) and Elliana (6 months). Stephanie is married to Solon Flowers and they have 3 children: Haylee (age 9), Allie (age 5), and Emory (15 months). Ashley Westbrook Director of Public Relations Emmanuel College awestbrook@ec.edu 706-988-3369 cell Doctor, I know you enjoy inspiring episodes. This happened tonight. I posted this on Facebook to inspire others to care about one another. This was so remarkable.
Our neighbor that did this has 4 children, and has raised them in a Godly home. For them, this is a normal mode of operation. See a need, fill it. Someone ailing, bring a meal for them. Emergency, stop and pray NOW. That is the way they live. Needless to say, they are a blessing to our entire family. Here is the story as I posted it: A TRUE STORY TO INSPIRE YOU: Many of you know Marsha's mom is staying with us since the passing of her father. Tonight I drove mom Greer to Walmart to pick up some diabetic testing strips. I was not sure about her condition, as there seemed to be confusion about where we were, etc. Upon leaving Walmart, she complained of dizziness and feeling faint. Upon our arrival home, it was plain that not all was right. We felt like she should go to the ER to be checked. The situation escalated, and an ambulance was called to our home. The EMS folk prepped her for a trip to the local hospital. I looked outside through the open window, and a truck was stopped on the street. I thought it was an extra EMS crew member arriving (it is a volunteer EMS). I went outside to tell them all was under control. As I approached the truck, I could see it was not EMS folk. It was our neighbor, Sandy, and her three girls. They were out of the truck, and kneeling in prayer on the side of the road in front of our house. As I approached them, the youngest one jumped up with tears streaming down and wanted to know if we were OK. I said yes, that mom Greer needed to see the doctor but was not in immediate danger. We all gathered for a round of hugs. This time last year, and ambulance took our oldest daughter to the hospital. We almost lost her that night. God had a different plan. Our neighbors knew if an ambulance was in our driveway, prayer was needed. They did not hesitate, they didn't even ask. They just stopped and fell on their knees in intervention. They then realized why they were detained in getting home, as it was getting late. God detained them so they would arrive at the hour of need. Mom Greer is resting and awaiting test at the hospital. Wouldn't you like to have neighbors like that on your street? [Editor's response to Marty Airhart: He and his family reside in Hollywood, MD. However, their music studios are in California, MD. Both his father and brother served as deacons of our church. I had the privilege and honor to perform the wedding ceremony for Marty and Marsha.] Dear Marty, Praise the Lord! Hallelujah. Glory to His Holy Name. What incredible and wonderful neighbors. A whole family down on their knees praying and interceding for God to come to the rescue and bring His healing power to meet the need of the aging lady, Marsha's mother. It is true . . . we are a part of the family of God. Lord, Help us to serve You by serving others. I thank God for you Marty in your excellent, even copacetic, report of a deeply spiritual event that changed the day and spoke volumes about this Godly family. Your friend in all seasons, Hugh P. S. "Be patient, Dr. Morgan" Marty wrote this song about me when I became the pastor of our home church. I am not known for patience; however, God continues to work on me. [I have prepared a hyperlink for you to watch this entire worship service and the signing of the appropriate documents of our affiliation and reaffirmation of our commitment to work together with the First Methodist Pentecostal Church to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please Click Here to watch this video.] In a worship service filled with exceptional music and praise to the Lord, leaders from both denominations shared their reflections on the history and importance of this beneficial relationship. General Superintendent A.D. Beacham, Jr., Bishop James Leggett, Bishop Chris Thompson, Bishop Talmadge Gardner, Dr. Vinson Synan and Dr. Dean Helland greeted the crowd of over 6,000 and expressed their appreciation for this unique partnership that bridges denominations and cultures. Bishop Eduardo Durán Castro from the First Methodist Pentecostal Church of Chile remarked, “This is a fruitful friendship in the Lord. May it last until the Lord returns.” The halls of the Evangelical Cathedral of Chile rang with exuberant praise and worship as the Instrumental and Polyphonic Choir joined with the voices of the congregation and Children’s Choir to give honor to God. The two denominations connected in 1966, when Dr. R.O. Corvin met Pastor Javier Vásquez at the World Congress of Evangelism in Berlin, Germany. The two immediately felt a kindred spirit as they discovered their common heritage of Pentecostal-Methodist roots. When the groups met at the Pentecostal World Conference in Rio de Janeiro a year later, they signed an affiliation agreement recognizing the two groups as equal churches. Dr. Vinson Synan penned the original document which was signed by Bishop J. A. Synan, Rev. A.D. Beacham, Bishop Memerio Mancilla, and Pastor Javier Vásquez. IPHC Presiding Bishop Doug Beacham shared a timely word about the significance of 50 years as it represents the year of Jubilee, Pentecost, and our personal affiliation. He challenged the churches to be “fully Pentecostal” and to “sow our lives into the future generation.” In an act of solidarity, Bishops Doug Beacham and Eduardo Durán, along with other church leaders, signed a commemorative agreement reaffirming the affiliation between the two churches. Together, the groups will work to proclaim the Gospel to the future generation and around the world. Also present from the International Pentecostal Holiness Church were Rev. Max Barroso, director of The Awakening, Rev. Matt Bennett, director of People to People Ministries, Mrs. Janese Bennett, director of Communications, Rev. Terry Fowler, chief of staff, Dr. Harold Hunter, director of IPHC Archives and Research Center, Mrs. Susan Beacham, Mrs. Carolee Synan, and Mrs. Betty Thompson. PROPHECY: "I WILL REMOVE THE DIVIDING LINE TO BRING A UNIFIED KOREA"--WRITTEN BY JEFF JANSEN4/29/2017 "I will remove the dividing line in the nation of Korea that has divided My people for 70 years, and just as I brought a swift justice to My people who were in Babylonian captivity after 70 years, they will be released to their land to rebuild." (Pixabay)
Plans of Peace to Give Korea a Future and a Hope| I love the nation of South Korea, as I have been going there for many years now. The Korean Christians are some of the most dedicated, loving people I know. From my years of ministry in Seoul, Incheon and other cities in South Korea, there is a common cry that echoes from that nation— that God would remove the dividing line and make a unified Korea again. I've heard story after story from leaders to lay people of those who have family separated in both North and South Korea. It is the heart of God to bring healing to that divided nation and to make "One Unified Korea" again. After the cold war in 1945, tensions heated up along the 38th parallel separating into the North and South zones, and by May 1946 it was illegal to pass between this line without a permit. In 1947 (70 years ago this year), the UN passed a resolution on November 14, 1947, declaring that free elections should be held. By August 15th, 1948, both the divided North and South were liberated from Japanese occupation and independence was established. The Lord says: "I will remove the dividing line in the nation of Korea that has divided My people for 70 years, and just as I brought a swift justice to My people who were in Babylonian captivity after 70 years, they will be released to their land to rebuild." "For thus says the Lord: When seventy years [of exile] have been completed for Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jer. 29:10-11). Just as Daniel understood the times and the season of God's people being released into freedom from Babylonian captivity, so now is the time for those who are held captive in the North to be set free. Daniel began to pray and confess his sins and the sins of his people. It's time to pray! As a result of Daniel's intercession, God sent both Gabriel and Michael the archangels to fight and bring wisdom, skill, knowledge and understanding (Dan. 9:22). I see angels being released as arrows of the Lord to bring transition and healing to the fragmented nation of Korea! The 110-Year Anniversary of the Pyongyang Revival of 1907 Just as we celebrated the 110-year anniversary of the 1906 Azusa Street Revival last year in America, so this year marks the 110-year anniversary of the great revival that hit the unified Korea in Pyongyang in 1907. This revival swept the nation of Korea, bringing reformation. In January 1907, after months of persistent prayer, 50,000 people were converted in that one year and Korea was set ablaze—it was known as the Pyongyang Great Revival (1907-1910). The Lord said He was going to release His hidden power again in the nation of Korea: "The Lord (Father) says to my lord (the Messiah, His Son), 'Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies your footstool.' The Lord shall send your mighty scepter out of Zion, rule in the midst of your enemies. Your people will follow you in the day of Your battle (Ps. 110:1-3a). Just as revival fire swept through the nation 110 years ago this year, so the "Day of Your Power" is here again that will bring another wave of revival and restoration to the nation of Korea. In order for this to happen, it is absolutely necessary that things "heat up" in the North to bring about the resolve necessary for change. The demonized regime of the North will be dispersed and let go so healing can come to the whole nation. God will restore and reunite family members that have been separated for generations as a result. Just as Daniel recognized transition according to the word of the Lord and set himself to pray, we too must pray as we see these things approaching. God is releasing all of Heaven to facilitate this process. He is releasing His declaration through the "whirlwind of the South." The Whirlwind of Revival Is Blowing in the South I'm getting ready to go back to Seoul this week, and the Lord said to me, "Just as Pyongyang (in the North) was the place of the great revival that released an outpouring of Holy Ghost fire throughout the whole nation of Korea, so now the Lord says: I will release My whirlwind of the South upon the whole nation that will bring revival, liberty and unification to both North and South. I will restore all that has been stolen from My people and I will release My arrows (angels) over them, declaring and decreeing with the blast of My trumpet over a unified Korea. I will defend and protect you from the enemy who seeks to destroy, devour and trample you down with sling stones." Listen to Zechariah: Return to your stronghold, prisoners who now have hope. Today I declare that I will return to you a double portion. Because I have bent Judah as My bow and fitted the bow with Ephraim. I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and will set you like the sword of a warrior. Then the Lord will appear over them, and His arrow will go out like lightning. The Lord God will sound His trumpet, and will march forth like storm winds of southern Teman. The Lord of Hosts will protect them. They will devour up and subdue them with stone slingers. And they will drink and make noise as with wine; they will be filled with blood as a bowl, saturated like the corners of the altar (Zech. 9:12-15). This prophecy was published in Charisma Magazine on April 26, 2017. President Ron White is a man of faith and prayer. He has been prepared and called by God to be the President of Emmanuel College. We praise God for giving us this highly educated and experienced college administrator who values the spiritual realities that God has set in place whereby we can communicate with God in an intimate way on behalf of others. In this case, upon the behalf of Emmanuel College, faculty and staff, and students, notwithstanding the financial needs of this great, well-establish institution of Christian higher education. Dr. White has wisely chosen to lead Emmanuel College on his knees. These Pray First Banners can be seen all over the campus of Emmanuel College. The Bible says, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16, NKJV). Let us join with Dr. Ron White in daily prayers for Emmanuel College and for Dr. White and his wife, Carol. It is my belief that God will move heaven and earth, if necessary, to meet the needs of Emmanuel College. I sense in my spirit that Dr. White and Emmanuel College are now on the threshold of a mega miracle of financial blessings. Let us believe and pray that it will be so, and very soon. The Bible says, "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him" (2 Chronicles 16:9, NKJV). Below, you will find Saturday's message, April 29, 2017, of Dr. White's daily prayer grams where He expressed his active faith in God, his gratitude for all those who are responding to give to the college and much more. You will experience the heart of this servant leader, and I am confident God will speak to you as He is me. Let us all pray and give to Emmanuel College as God provides the resources. "Favor on us May God be merciful and bless us. May his face smile with favor on us" (Psalm 67:1, NLT). Today's meditation:

Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, His holy mountain. 2 It is beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth. Like the utmost heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the Great King. 3 God is in her citadels; He has shown Himself to be her fortress. KJV One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head.
She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, "Why are some of your hairs white, Mum?" Her mother replied, "Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white." The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, "Mummy, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?" 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed (ordained) you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another. NKJV [Editor's Comment: This Scripture means so much to me. To know that God chose me and called me to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ is overwhelming and satisfying. As I carry the message Jesus has promised me fruit what would be lasting. There is an addendum to this special call for our Lord, and it is an encouragement to pray and believe God will answer my prayers. Notice that the word "whatsoever" is all inclusive. However, for those of us who know Jesus and His Word our desire is nothing less than God's Will for our lives. Remember that Jesus has the final Word. He is our sovereign God. The Word "may" is a polite Word to remind us that God will answer our prayers according to the Will of the Father. Has Jesus chosen you? Think about it!] A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six-year-olds.
After explaining the commandment to "honour thy Father and thy Mother," she asked, "Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?" From the back, one little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, 'Thou shall not kill." Dear Hugh,
In a world sadly lacking in moral leadership, CUFI has taken a bold stand. We've never watered down our message or compromised our principles. And we've sometimes paid a price for this. When you criticize the president, you 're not always welcome in the White House. But it's a new day in Washington, and a new opportunity for CUFI. At the beginning of April, we met with President Trump and Vice President Pence at the White House. In that meeting, we were humbled and gratified to hear that our nation’s two top leaders are firmly committed to working with us to secure the future of Israel and America. Just since the beginning of the year, we’ve seen success on a number of fronts. As The Washington Times recently noted: [CUFI] flexed its developing muscle even before Donald Trump took the oath of office. Upon returning from Christmas break, the word around Washington was that President Obama had one last move against Israel at the U.N. With literally only a few days’ notice, CUFI organized over 250 Christian leaders from across the country to come to Washington where they met with senators from 49 states (Vermont the exception) to express their alarm over the Obama administration’s betrayal of Israel and to promote the following agenda: • Use U.S. leverage to end Israel-bashing at the U.N. • Support moving the American embassy to Jerusalem. • Confirm David Friedman, President-elect Trump’s choice to be U.S. ambassador to Israel. Here we are, a few months later, and Mr. Friedman is ambassador to Israel; U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley has channeled her inner Daniel Patrick Moynihan and attacked anti-Israel bias at the world body with vigor; and for the first time ever, there is serious consideration being given to moving the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. While this is a promising beginning, our progress has not discouraged Israel's detractors. On the contrary, they are working overtime to change the minds of our new leadership. Israel's critics tried to stop the president from appointing David Friedman as the new Ambassador to Israel. And they're working hard to stop the administration from moving our embassy to Jerusalem. We need to make sure that the voices of Israel's critics are not the only ones being heard in Washington. We need to make sure that the president and vice president continue to hear from the millions of Christians who want them to take a bold stand for Israel. We need to make sure the administration is hearing from us! We have come this far together. Let us take these next critical steps together. Let us walk through doors that God has opened for us and take our stand for Israel like never before. [Editor's Comment: I want to thank the Rev. Dr. Hugh Hoyle for sending me this announcement of the death of our sister in Christ, Marlene Durr. Our son, Greg Morgan, met and worked with Marlene in Budapest, Hungary when he was a tent maker missionary. Greg wrote the following about Marlene: I'm SHOCKED about Marlene! I had no idea she had cancer. She was a great lady. She was a godly woman. I enjoyed spending time with her in Hungary. She even went to Italy with me to see the Bollings. We also flew to the Netherlands together for a missions retreat. Greg plans to return to Budapest in June for three and one half weeks to visit the teachers, students of the high school where he taught. He will visit with Dan and Rose Smith former missionaries of the IPHC. Although this will be a vacation trip for Greg he will be sharing his faith in Jesus Christ with his colleagues and friends.] Hugh, Congratulations on 20 years of publishing the news of the IPHC. You have kept us up to date on the news that we otherwise would have had to wait for days and weeks. You filled a gap and met a great need in our church. Again congratulations. John Hedgepeth Senior Pastor, Northwood Temple Fayetteville, NC In a telephone conversation with Dr. Lonnie Rex on Thursday afternoon, he said that every pastor in the IPHC should write a tribute to Hugh's News and what it means to them, Wow! What an historic edition you gave us on Thursday. You did a great job weaving all this together. What a great service you are providing the church. I am amazed at your dedication, commitment and devotion to this electronic ministry to all of us. It is really a great blessing. And you do it day in and day out with a passion. I went to work for Oral Roberts in 1954. I had the privilege of working with G. H. Montgomery. He was a joy to be around and to work with in those days. Thank you for sharing Betty Baxter's testimony. What a wonderful mirical of healing Jesus gave to her. Dear Brother Hugh,
Wonderful memories, I remember them so well from my early days of ministry that spans 63+ years and counting! I continue to love every day of them. Thanks Hugh for all that you do through Hugh's News Connectional Ministry! I congratulate you on your anniversary of many years of masterful journalism dedication. I most gladly send a monetary gift. Even though I cannot walk the flight to the pulpit my heart, mind and mouth still works, the church has graciously set in place a desk and all that is necessary for me to minister the precious Good News from the main level.
