John 15:15-17
16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed (ordained) you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another.
NKJV
[Editor's Comment: This Scripture means so much to me. To know that God chose me and called me to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ is overwhelming and satisfying. As I carry the message Jesus has promised me fruit what would be lasting. There is an addendum to this special call for our Lord, and it is an encouragement to pray and believe God will answer my prayers.
Notice that the word "whatsoever" is all inclusive. However, for those of us who know Jesus and His Word our desire is nothing less than God's Will for our lives. Remember that Jesus has the final Word. He is our sovereign God. The Word "may" is a polite Word to remind us that God will answer our prayers according to the Will of the Father.
Has Jesus chosen you? Think about it!]
