News Alert:
Official word has been received from Presiding Bishop Doug Beacham, and former Superintendent Ronald Q. Moore of the Upper South Carolina Conference that the Rev. Mr. George Bass, former Superintendent of the Sonshine (Florida) Conference has died of an apparent heart attack. He had suffered greatly during 2015 and had been hospitalized several times. He died in the hospital.
I called and talked with his wife, Pearly, and she informed me that the plans are to have his memorial service on Saturday, December 19, 2015. at the Andrews Pentecostal Holiness Church at 11 a. m. Final arrangements have not been made.
George Bass was a friend of mine. He was a gifted pastor, evangelist and soul winner. He had a great love for World Missions and in each of the churches he pastored those congregations led their conference and the entire church in missions giving, because he himself was a giver to World Missions.
He was a dynamic soul winner and spoke to everyone he met about Jesus.
