Alex Sobers, incoming freshman at Emmanuel College We are so excited to announce that incoming Emmanuel freshman and member of the EC Swim team, Alex Sobers will compete for his home country of Barbados in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
Sobers will compete in the 400-meter freestyle, making him the first EC student athlete to compete in the Olympic games!
The Swimming competition at the Olympics will take place from Saturday, August 6 through Saturday, August 13 with preliminary events beginning at 12 p.m. ET and the finals running at 9 p.m. ET.
