The Manning family has been part of my family's (Rodgers of Campo and Springfield, CO) life for many years. Dorrance's dad, TV, pastored the IPHC church in Springfield when Dorrance and my dad, Loy Rodgers, were teenagers. (For a bit of humor, Dorrance and my dad and Uncle Virgil had a Bible reading contest on who could read the most chapters each week. Daddy and U. Virgil kept winning, and Dorrance was frustrated. He finally found out that Daddy and U. Virgil were reading Psalm 117 over and over!) Later, T. V. pastored in Boise City, OK which is 30 miles south of Campo. My granddad, Jim Rodgers, pastored in Campo. In those days (That really makes me sound old!), people drove 30 miles to revivals, etc.! Then, when I went to Southwestern, Darryl and Daniel were my classmates. Dorrance stayed in touch with my family for many years.
His family influenced people in CO as well as OK, KS and TX and continues to spread the gospel through his children.
