I was sad to hear about the passing of Mrs. Marion Coleman. She was a wonderful woman of God and her heritage continues through her family.
Her grandson, Jason Duncan, was once my minister of music. He is the son of Martha Coleman Duncan Vaughan. When I taught elementary music in Cobb County, Georgia, Jason was my choir director at Mount Paran North Church of God. When I was there, our choir had some 85 singers and 30 orchestra members. To date, he was the best choir director I have ever had.
I happened to notice a tribute that he gave his grandmother on Facebook. I wanted to share it with you.

"My Grandmommy, Marion Coleman, just received her eternal reward. She and Granddaddy were pioneers of the youth camp program for the GA IPHC and served as pastors and Christian Education directors for many years. They are enjoying a great reunion today and she’s experiencing the bliss that is seeing Jesus face to face. I am thankful for her love and legacy; a legacy that I carry on today in my own ministry. I love you, Grandmommy. Save me a piece of chocolate cake and don’t forget the Mississippi Mud without nuts! I’ll see you in the blink of an eye. And, thanks for making me feel like I was your favorite." (Jason Duncan)
Please continue to keep the Coleman family in your prayers.
