I prepare her medications and give them to her. Most of the time, we take our medications prior to eating breakfast. Melvine's vital signs are better than mine. And I am having to cut back on insulin for her. My hunch is she doesn't need insulin with such good blood sugars.
Our cleaning lady came today to deep clean our house. She is a hard worker. Her birthday is October 2, and so I gave an extra $25 for her birthday. People are encouraged when we give them extra gifts for special occasions in their lives.
Pam Kesling came a few minutes prior to the time we had set. Greg and I were to leave our home at 1 o'clock to be on time for the surgery of injecting needles with medicine and steroids into my lower back. We got there to the doctor's office where he does the surgery prior to the scheduled time.
The nurse checks your blood pressure, temperature, and oxygen level. Everything was good, and I went to the operating room, and prepared to get up on the operating table. I noticed that I was short of breath as I lay on my stomach. They took my vital signs again.
Dr. Benjamin McCurdy is a fantastic doctor. Most of all, he is a Christian. He covers your back with a solution to cleanse the area. He has a machine where he can see the area he needs to inject the needles. It stings but it only last as second or two.
After all was said and done, I got off the operating table free of any pain.
I came home and iced my back and rested.
Melvine loves Pam Kesling. She enjoyed talking with Pam.
Melvine's hospice nurse came today. We will have other members of the team to come the rest of the week.
Melvine and Greg have gone to bed.
I will go a little later.
