Preface
“The Kingdom of God is administrated relationally”! Those words pierced my heart as I sat with a group of internationally recognized leaders struggling to find answers for why people were failing to walk out their God ordained purpose and calling. That brief moment gave birth to a belief system that has marked my life and every collegial endeavor in the Kingdom since that day.
Our destiny is forever affected by our connections, both positively and negatively! Big doors swing on little hinges!
Far too often we have placed our focus on theological astuteness, communication skills, business acumen and spiritual gifting as the primary catalyst for an individual's success or lack thereof. And while I would be the last to minimize their importance, I think we’ve overlooked what may be the most important ingredient-–proper life giving relationships.
The Apostle Paul, in his discourse to the Corinthians, awakens us to the realization that we are interdependent –connected-as a ‘many membered body,’ each having value, function and responsibility. Those connections are so strategic to our destiny that he concludes his remarks with "He (the Holy Spirit) sets each member
in the body as He wills" (1 Corinthians 12:12–18). God chooses our ‘connections’ knowing where and to whom we are to be joined for our lives to be fruitful and fulfilled.
In the book you are now reading Relationships – Your Key to Divine Destiny–-my friend Stacy Hilliard captures the simple truth that relationships have always been and continue to be God’s laboratory for shaping a life and for helping us strategically navigate our way into the ‘place’ of our greatest potential. For Stacy, this is
not just a principle to be taught, it has been a way of life!
As you read, may you begin to discern the connections God has brought into your life for such a time as this!
Destiny awaits!
