Hebrews 13:20-21 One of the great benedictions in the Bible
20 Now the God of peace, that (Who) brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to Whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
KJV
[Editor's comment: God is a God of peace. It is through Jesus Christ that we are given peace: peace with God and the peace of God that is beyond all human understanding. Our Lord is the great Shepherd of the sheep. I am one of His sheep. The key phrase is this . . . through the blood of the everlasting covenant. We thank God for the shed blood of Jesus at Calvary. It is only by the shedding of Jesus' blood that we can be saved. He came to die on the cross to provide salvation to all who will believe and receive His forgiveness of all our sins.
God continues to work in our lives after we commit our lives to Jesus to make our work and ministry what God would have it to be. I want my life to be well pleasing to God. I have sold out for Christ and His Kingdom.]
