Philippians 1:3-6
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, 5 for your fellowship in the Gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
NKJV
[Editor's Commentary: What a beautiful thought to thank God for others by remembering them in prayer and making specific requests for each of them.
What's more is that when God saves us He never abandons us or leaves us to fend for ourselves. The good work, the work of perfecting us or maturing us as Christians is not only for us, but we can add our children to this Scripture without any violence to the recorded Word. You will remember from your reading of the Book of Acts the story of Paul and Silas in the Philippian prison.
Acts 16:30-31
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
KJV
The meaning of thy house or your house tells us that this promise is to our children and grandchildren—all members of our family--our house.
Upon the authority of God's Holy Word, we can claim our household, all our children for Christ and His Kingdom.
