Well, dad is definitely hanging in there. He is quite tired of the tube in his nose that is connected to his stomach pump. They tell us that they will remove that tomorrow. Let’s pray that that will be the case. Dad is still eating a liquid diet, but they think that they can start him on soft, more substantial food tomorrow.
I must say that I was quite impressed watching dad work with both the occupational therapist and physical therapist today. I am sure that the exercised they help him with are quite painful, but dad always does what they ask. They do give him occasional breaks though. I also think he does quite well for an eighty-five year old. Dad actually reminds me of how Stephanie, my sister would do everything she was asked regardless of all of the pain from her cancer that I’m sure she had. I would like to think that I would have the same fortitude if I were sick or injured, but I’m not sure I would.
Just please continue to pray for my dad, Hugh Morgan, as he endures this process of being in the hospital.
May God richly bless you all,
Greg
