Willa Dean Browder Altman, 86, widow of O. D. Altman, Jr., passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 in a Charlotte, NC nursing center.
Mrs. Altman was born in Johnsonville, SC, a daughter of the late Audry Morant and Essie Powell Browder. She was a retired Teacher’s Aide from the Horry County School District. She graduated from Johnsonville High School Class of 1947 and also graduated from Emmanuel College Class of 1950.
Surviving are her daughters, Pamela Altman (Gary) King, Martha Altman (Marion, III) Jenkinson and Denise (Rodney Walker) Altman; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Horace (Annette) Browder; sisters, Mildred Browder-Hughes, Erma Owens and Lois Cox. She was predeceased by two sisters, Louise Brown and Sheila Parker.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. Monday, January 2, 2017 in the Johnsonville Pentecostal Holiness Church, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p. m. Sunday, January 1, 2017 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
