Acts 1:8 Marching Orders from Jesus Christ, the Baptizer with or in the Holy Spirit
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
KJV
[Editor's comment: When the Day of Pentecost was fully come the men and women who gathered in the Upper Room in Jerusalem were baptized with the Holy Spirit. They experienced a new vitality, a new victory, and were given a new voice. They began to speak with other tongues [or languages], as the Spirit gave them utterance" (Acts 2:4).
There is no doubt about it . . . this was a miracle given from heaven. These men and women, 120 in all, spoke instantly in various languages and were understood without any interpreters or translators to the representatives from different language groups who were present in Jerusalem for the Feast of Pentecost. They became instant witnesses with a vitality given them by God. There were 3,000 souls who were born again, were baptized and added to the church.
The church needs a revival of Pentecost. The church needs a marching army of Spirit-filled Christians in every walk of life, every craft, trade, or discipline to boldly seek to find waiting opportunities to talk about Jesus, their Savior and Lord. Where we live in Georgia I find that many people are open to hearing about Jesus, His saving and redeeming love to save them, and to heal their bodies. Now is the time to make room in our daily lives to be witnesses for Christ.
I trust this message is striking a vital chord in you heart, and you want to respond to the Holy Spirit Who is leading you to be the witness God has prepared you to be.]
