Roger Babson, an economist and entrepreneur, while visiting the Argentine republic, asked the president of that country, “Why is it that South America, with all of its natural resources, is so far behind North America, notwithstanding that South America was settled first?”
"South America was settled by the Spanish who came in search of gold,” answered the president, “but North America was settled by the Pilgrim Fathers who went there in search of God.”
Could it be that we are in danger of forgetting that foundation of our Pilgrim Fathers' purpose and vision for America on which our prosperity has been based?
Here is what the writer of the Gospel of John wrote: "Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom You have sent" (John 17:3, NIV).
May God enable us to seek Him first and His Kingdom.
