The Rev. Dr. Hugh H. Morgan, Editor of Hugh's News, Inc. It's a new year with challenges and opportunities to bless others and to share what God is doing. Of course, we know that He is doing so many things to bless people that we do not know about.
In connecting to the first two nights with the national virtual prayer call I have learned a lot that I did not know. It is exciting to hear these stories and know that Christians of all faith groups are seeking the face of God and praying for renewal and revival in our country.
In less that 16 days we will have a new president, Donald J. Trump. We must pray for him and all who are in authority in Congress that they will have a mind to work with the new president to make America Great Again. We know he can only do it with the help of God.
I was blessed to have two individuals to receive special honors from Hugh's News in 2016,
Mrs. Arlette Cape Revells is the 2016 Hugh's News Woman of the Year.
Mr. Mel Tinney is the 2016 Hugh's News Man of the Year.
They will be honored for one year in the title we have given them.
However, seasons come and go. We are celebrating 20 years of producing Hugh's News and Commentary. Wow, that's a long time. I am thankful to God for each of you who has subscribed to Hugh's News. I am blessed to serve the Head of Hugh's News, Jesus Christ. It is my desire to know what direction He wants us to take. Right now, we are involved in daily prayers for God to open our eyes that we may be able to see what God sees, the hear what He is saying, and to join with hundreds of thousands of Christians all across our nation in praying for renewal and revival. Our lives in 2017 can and will be a spiritually guided journey directed and empowered by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, the Bible as we submit our lives to Him.
