I was able to talk with Greg by phone earlier in the evening on Wednesday, January 13.
He had just come back from having a procedure to insert a filter in the arteries in his groin to prevent blood clots from going to his lungs, heart, and brain.
Greg was upbeat when I talked with him. He said the nurses are super good to him. He told me that he had ordered a cheese burger with fries and a coke. He likes real cokes.
I do not know about the next step. One of the doctors is to call me on Thursday to talk with me about Greg according to his nurse.
My good friend Wesley Russ left today. He needed to go see his brother in Hawkinsville, GA, and another brother in Florida who is an IPHC pastor. I really miss
him. What a servant leader he is. He has many contacts with people in the USA and overseas. He loves world missions and evangelism. I couldn't have asked for anything more. He did it all with a pleasant attitude and a wholesome spirit of love and care. We read the Bible and prayed together. We watched the Collegiate Football National Championship Game. Alabama and Ohio State played a exciting game. Of course, Alabama won big. The Crimson Tide is a powerhouse. I have been a fan of Bama since the 40s.
While Wesley was here, close friends of mine got me in touch with a home care agency that has ladies come in your home to take care of your needs. I have signed up for care and today, my care giver helped me to get ready to go see my eye doctor, and drove me for my appointment. I am grateful for all the help I am getting from my church family, and neighbors. And now these professional people to meet my particular needs.
Please continue to pray for Greg and me. I greatly miss Greg. However, he his just where he needs to be to get the medical attention he needs. He has started getting get well cards.
God bless you all.
