HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST
God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be;
So He put His arms around you,
And whispered, “Come to me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away;
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

[Editor's Comment: It was my pleasure to know Donald G. McKellar. I met him when we were students at Holmes Bible College. Later, I got to see him again when he was the pastor of the Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church in Eden, NC. He did a good work there for God. He lead the congregation in building a beautiful brick parsonage. He was a master builder, and one of the best painters in the known world.
Melvine and I met his devoted wife Yvonne Stewart McKellar.
Our hearts go out to Yvonne and her sons and family. We send our love and condolences with our prayers.
