Reverend Morgan, it is with great shock and sadness, that I send you the news that Brother Belcher passed to his Heavenly home this morning (Wednesday, January 30, 2019.
I have been with Sally all day and she is doing well. He had been in pretty good health and still teaching Bible Study where they lived. It appears he had a heart attack and his journey was quick, without any suffering.
Respectfully,
Linda Bacon

Dear Brother Hugh, a little information about Delbert Belcher.
Rev. & Mrs. Delbert Belcher
It is amazing how the twists and turns of life’s roads lead.
The year was 1955 when my wife and I were visiting her parents two miles East of Okemah, Oklahoma, on old US Highway 62, where her parents owned a gas station. (This was before Interstate 40 was completed through Oklahoma in 1957.)
A tall, slender, young man from Princeton, West Virginia, stopped for gas. (Note of interest, Dr. Thurnace York and I had conducted a revival meeting in Princeton, WV in January of 1953, and may have yielded some influence on the following events.) While filling the car with gas, it was my privilege of getting acquainted with this young man, and found out his destination was Oklahoma City to attend Southwestern Bible College. His name? Delbert Belcher.
On April 19, 1957, it was a distinct privilege to conduct the wedding ceremony of David Elliott and Wanda Morris in the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Stilwell, Oklahoma. That same young man from Princeton, West Virginia was there. Delbert Belcher was David’s Best Man. (That was Good Friday, and Good Friday has not been on April 19 since then until this year.)
Our paths and the Belchers have crossed through the years, but had no idea in 1999 they would end up retiring in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, where my wife and I had pastored the years of 1962-66.
While compiling this little bit of history today, January 30, 2019, the news came that Rev. Delbert Belcher had a heart attack and went to be with the Lord at 9:31 this morning, Wednesday, January 30, 2019.
May the Lord’s choice blessings, peace, and comfort grace Sister Sally Belcher and the family during this most difficult time.
