[Editor's comment: I have known Sue Edwards for decades. I knew her mother and uncle, William Pitts. She was brought up in a strong Pentecostal Holiness home with Godly parents. Ben and Sue served as pastors of the Greenville Pentecostal Holiness Church when I pastored in Birmingham. Over the years we have continued our relationship with Ben and Sue. They named their first daughter Stephanie after our Stephanie.
Our love, condolences and prayers are with Ben and his family in this time of grief and sorrow. Grief is a gift from God to enable us to understand that the most important things in life are not position, prestige, power, or prosperity. The most important thing is our relationships: first with God, our parents, siblings, the spouse we married, our children, grandchildren, and our friends. May we make the most of every opportunity to be with our families and friends.]
