Franklin Barrow, a retired Chief Master Sergeant, USAF, is a man of great influence. He is as member of the Protestant Parrish Council at Elgin Air Force Base. For the last 20 years he has been successful in convincing the council to approve People to People Ministries of the IPHC to be awarded the designated offering in the Protestant Chapel Worship Service. It occurred once again this year on Sunday May 21, 2017.
Chief Franklin Barrow grew up in Draper, NC, now called Eden. He and his family lived across the street from Melvine's home and they attended and were members of the Draper Pentecost Holiness Church. They attended Sunday school, worship on Sunday morning and evening, Wednesday night service, and frequent revival services. In addition, they participated in the annual Daily Vacation Bible School. The attended the same elementary and high school.
Franklin served as a Chaplain's Assistant (at one time they were called Chapel Management Specialists). In other words, they are church administrators. Chaplains are dependent upon the services of chaplain assistants. They are a vital part of the ministry and the ministry team.
Hugh's News applauds Franklin Barrow for his excellent leadership and influence with the Protestant Parrish Council. He has not forgotten his roots in the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
