[Editor's Comment: It was a high honor and a distinct privilege to work closelyl with M. W. Murr when I was the third president of Southwestern College. I invited him to be a member of the President's Administrative Advisory Council. He had great information and insights that helped me to understand the mind-set of young students. Following our council meetings we went to the golf driving range on camps. M. W. Murr taught Dr. Vinson Synan, John Parker and me as well as other members our council how to play golf. In fact, Brother Murr gave me a pair of golf shoes that were very expensive and sharp. I loved him and his wife, Laverne. What a lovely couple they were who enriched our lives with their ministry of presence. M. W. Murr lived a long and fulfilling life. His many contributions to Southwestern College, now Southwestern Christian University, will continue to live on for years to come. His labor of love is not in vain. He was a beloved brother in Christ.]
