[Editor's Comment: I take this opportunity to say "thank you" to Hugh and Lois Hoyle for alerting me to the death of Jack Handy. I have known Jack and Sylvia for many years. The Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church is Melvine's home church and where she and I were united in marriage on August 13, 1960. I have fished with Jack and a number of the men of the Draper P. H. Church at Nags Heads, NC on at least two occasions. Those were times of great fellowship and spiritual renewal as we prayed and read the Bible, and talked about the goodness, grace, and love of God.
Jack was a dedicated Christian and a true disciple of Christ. Sylvia, his darling wife, is the church organist She has a wonderful ministry of sending cards to those who are sick, on their birthdays, and anniversaries. We always treasure receiving these cards from Sylvia. She selects each one with great care. Her ministry is far greater than she realizes.]
