The word came to me on Monday, January 25, 2021, from my good friend Pastor Rick Haug that Brother Jack Goodson passed away on Monday morning.
Bishop Doug Beacham verified Brother Goodson's death. I contacted the Cornerstone Conference and learned that the family has not made arrangements for his memorial service, burial, etc. at the time I called the conference office.
Jack Goodson was an outstanding pastor, conference superintendent, and denominational executive of the IPHC. He not only served as the superintendent of the Western North Carolina Conference, but was elected treasurer of the IPHC, and executive director of IPHC World Missions Ministries. He provided excellent leadership in stewardship of the church, and did a phenomenal job as the executive director of IPHC World Missions. It was a joy working with him and learning from him. I served as the secretary-treasurer of the Georgia Conference for several years and attended stewardship seminars he and his staff conducted at Myrtle Beach, SC. He was meticulous and thorough in all he did. I loved and respected him. He was an avid reader of Hugh's News.
