On early Tuesday morning, January 12, 2021, Pastor John Ingham passed through the veil of this world into the realms of glory in heaven.
He fought the good fight, he finished the race, and he kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7, NKJV).
I have not been able to contact Rita, his wife. It is my understanding that Lord & Stephens Funeral Home East in Athens, GA will be
in charge of the arrangements. As of this writing, there has not been any information posted on their website. I will endeavor to keep
you informed when I am able to obtain that information.
The following announcement was sent out from Christian Life Worship Center in Athens, the church John pastored for several years:
Senior Pastor of CLWC from Fall of 1998 to Spring 2010 entered his heavenly home today, January 12, 2021.
Pastor John Ingham
Pastor John is lovingly remembered for being a true servant of our Lord, Jesus Christ. He did his best to let the church family know how much he cared by being with them during sicknesses, tragedies, celebrations, or any other time he was needed. He was known to spend hours in visitation, never rushing when he was with you. There were no jobs beneath Pastor John. He would wash dishes, take out the trash, fix cars, teach a class, and preach on Sunday. You name it, he probably did it. Please remember his wife, Rita, his family, and friends in prayer.
This announcement was written by Pastor Matthew Smith and Krissy McKenzie. I commend them for a well-written announcement.
Arlette Revells read this statement on a recorded message on the telephone that went to the members of the church.
John Ingham was a friend of mine. He was my conference superintendent when I was the pastor of Tarkenton Memorial Church. I served on the conference board (now called the church council) with him. He was loved by the pastors and the good people of the conference. It was a joy and pleasure to work with him. He and Rita served the Georgia Conference with honor and distinction.
