A majority of our active duty and retired military chaplains are presently on a retreat/training conference in Colorado, Springs, Colorado. Some of our chaplains are in strategic assignments where they are not able to attend because of the needs of the military.
Melvine, Greg, and I were invited to attend. We regrettably had to turn down the gracious invitation due to Melvine's illness. We still believe in miracles and that God can turn things around for Melvine and me.
We are grateful for the excellent leadership of Chaplain (Colonel) Jerry L. Jones, US Army retired, our highly esteemed director/endorser of Chaplains Ministries, IPHC as well as those who serve on our Chaplains Ministries Council.
Today, Thursday, 1 August will conclude the retreat/training conference. I pray that the Spirit of the Lord will rest upon each chaplain and spouse and that they experience a refreshing of their spirits and a renewal of their calling to serve God and Country as military chaplains.
