On this Memorial Day of 2017, let us as Americans thank God for the sacrifice of many our fellow Americans for the cause of freedom. All gave something--some gave all. We honor those who gave their lives and pray for all who persevere for peace in the world.
Let us remember our young men and women serving our country in other countries of the world on this Memorial Day. They are away from family and loved ones. Many of them are serving in harm's way. May God watch over all of them and protect them from all harm and danger.
May we never forget our military chaplains who go where our soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen, and guardsmen go. They make the same sacrifices and they are there to be a visible reminder of the invisible God Who loves them and sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die on a cross to pay the penalty for their sins, to forgive them and give them eternal life.
