Melvine and I both worked on getting the powers that be at the Oaks Rehab Center to release her from rehab. As of today, She has been at the Oaks for 13 days. The plan was for Melvine to be there from 10 days to 2 weeks.
Melvine was highly motivated and was determined to get out of the Oaks in record time. She did make a record. It was a record for Melvine to accomplish her goal.
We were in unity and both believed that Melvine was ready to come home.
I am picking up Melvine at 11 o'clock. Jeanette Phillips is going to help us get her clothes and her Rollator walker in my car. But the most precious cargo in my 2010 Lincoln Continental Towncar will be Melvine. Melvine will not be away from home not one hour or minute late. God has a perfect timetable.
Melvine wishes to express her gratitude to all of you for praying for her during her sickness. It is amazing to see how God has reached down and touched Melvine's body. He used modern science and antibiotics and IVs to provide much needed hydration for the healing of her body and mind.
I want to thank you all for standing with us in prevailing prayer. All the cards, letters, calls have meant so much.
Greg finally got over his cold and cough. He got up early Monday morning and drove to Thomson, GA to teach music at
Thomson-McDuffie Middle School. This community is located near Augusta where the Master's Golf Championship is conducted annually.
Have a good day. May God bless you all.
Your friend in all seasons,
Hugh
