Melvine and I were privileged to attend the morning worship service at our church, Christian Life Worship Center, in Athens, Georgia yesterday which was Sunday, April 28.
Chris and Chrissy McKenzie met us at our car. I always attempt to park close to the handicap ramp. Chris got out our rollator walkers from the trunk of my car. Chrissy escorted Melvine making sure she was alright. Chris walked with me into the church after a walk up the ramp.
It was a great blessing for Melvine and me to be able to attend church today. David McKenzie takes care of Melvine's walker (he's about 8 or 9 years old) when we get inside the church, and brings it back to the pew where we are seated following the benediction.
Sunday was a beautiful day. We enjoyed the worship service and hearing the Word of God proclaimed by our pastor.
We went to the Mexican Restaurant near our church in Homewood Hills for Sunday dinner. It was delicious. We had excellent service.
Pastor Terry and Pam Kesling ate there, too, but in another section of the restaurant. They came over to our booth after they finished their lunch.
I plan to call our family doctor on Monday morning, to ask her advice concerning Melvine. I want to make sure she does not have another urinary tract infection. The doctor needs to determine that.
We ask for your prayers for Melvine. She is having some problems and I want to make sure we have done all we were supposed to do for Melvine.
We enjoyed having Greg home for the weekend. He has only 20 more days to teach before his summer vacation. He does not plan to go back to Thomson-McDuffie Middle School next year. He will need to get out of his contract on his apartment in Grove Town, GA, near Augusta. We ask your prayers for Greg as he finishes up his teaching this year. He will be having a Spring Choral Concert soon.
