Melvine was determined she would get out of the Oaks Rehab Facility, come home to get the clothes she wanted to wear when we went to church, eat breakfast, and dress for church.
Greg and I got up early to make it happen. That was our part. We got there at 8:30 and Melvine was ready. The nurse gave Melvine two plastic envelopes for the medication she needed to take at 1 pm and 5 pm.
I drove Melvine to church in the rain. I got Melvine's walker from the trunk. I found an umbrella for Melvine in the backseat of our car. She was able to hold the umbrella with one hand and push her walker with the other. She made it up a ramp with a light incline and into the church lobby.
Chris McKenzie, saw Melvine and he came out immediately with a large umbrella, and got my walker out the trunk for me. He did the same in putting the walkers back in the trunk after church. He is a guy who loves to serve others. In addition, Sam Dutton, a chemist in our church with the EPA, escorted Melvine with a gigantic umbrella to our car. What a blessing these men were to us.
We enjoyed seeing everyone who were in church. We had not been able to be present for several weeks. It was especially meaningful for us since today was Palm Sunday.
We were grateful that we were privileged to worship God with some of His people, and to sing, and hear our pastor preach.
Greg came to our church after he had played the piano for Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church and lead their congregational singing. After we talked with the people Greg drove us to Red Lobster for Sunday dinner.
We drove back to the church to get Greg's car, and I drove Melvine home. She went to bed and took a much needed Sunday nap.
We watched the Master's and Tiger Woods winning the prize after 14 years since he won it. Amazing. We were happy for Tiger and his family. Seeing them was wonderful. We rejoice with the Woods without any splinters.
We got ready and drove Melvine back to the Oaks arriving at about 7:20 p. m.
We watched Mike Huckabe on TV and enjoyed it.

Greg is so much better and the cough is less severe. He will get up at the crack of dawn and drive to his school in
Thomson, GA to teach music in a middle school. Pray that God will give him traveling mercies.
Melvine and plan to see the authorities at the Oaks and make plans to bring Melvine home. She can get occupational and physical therapy in our home from St. Mary's Health Care System. It is amazing the progress Melvine has made. Greg and I both noticed that Melvine has lost a lot of weight. I knew it, but it shows now in her face and body.
