Everyday gets better than the day before. We are seeing progress in Melvine's battle with an enemy--ovarian cancer. It shall not have dominion or power over Melvine.
I bring your attention to the Apostle Paul's letter to the Colossians in chapter 2:1-5:
I want you to know how much I am struggling for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me personally. 2 My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4 I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments. 5 For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how orderly you are and how firm your faith in Christ is.
NIV
When we are filled with God and Who He is, then it follows that nothing that is not of God can dwell in us. Therefore, we say what we believe in our hearts that cancer has no right to remain in Melvine's body. She is healed by faith in the atoning work of Calvary by the stripes of Jesus, and made completely whole by our Lord.
I like Eugene Peterson's rendering of 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24:
23 May God Himself, the God Who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together — spirit, soul, and body — and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. 24 The One Who called you is completely dependable. If He said it, He'll do it!
