weGetting up at the crack of dawn is tough for Melvine and me. However, we do what we have to do.
We believe that what we are doing is working and God is healing Melvine.
We thought we were going to see Melvine's oncologist, but she had taken a personal day off. However, Mary (forgot her last name) a PA, saw Melvine. She is excellent, too. She reviewed Melvine's lab results and approved her chemotherapy. We talked about Melvine's shortness of breath, her medications, her vital signs. Our family physician, Dr. Alice Edwards, had responded to my fax to her. Her nurse called to inform us that Dr. Edwards has sent in a prescription to take care of the times when Melvine's blood sugar is excessively high and recommended that Melvine make an appointment to see her within two weeks.
I made an appointment today with my barber, Mitch Hamby, to get a hair cut. I was getting shabby. I like him because he still uses a razor to trim my side burns, around my ears, and the back of my neck. He takes his time and it is relaxing to talk with him. He is a very pleasant man and he is a master barber. When I was the senior pastor at Tarkenton Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, Raymond Duncan was my barber. He has retried. He was excellent too.
Melvine followed through and prepared Spaghetti with angel hair noodles, with wonderful beef and mushroom sauce, garlic bread, Parmesan cheese and sweetened ice tea, the Champagne of the South. It is so good that it will make your hair curl, tickle your tonsils, put a grin on your lips, and diamonds in your smile. I am a blessed man to have a beautiful wife, who is a good cooker, the best in the known world.
Greg got home early today due to the fact he could leave school earlier. It was so good to see him, hug his neck and welcome him home.
Greg and I will have to get up early and go to our church for Men's Ministries for breakfast, fellowship with other men who love Jesus and are not ashamed to be a witness for Christ. And of course, to hear Jace Milligan speak to us.
Ken Phillips is our director and he does a great job as our leader of Men's Ministries.
We love our pastor Terry Kesling and his wife, Pam, our associate pastor, Matt Smith and his wife, Danielle. They are doing
a great job in leading us and feeding our souls with the Word of God, the Bible.
Thank you for allowing us to come to your home on a daily basis, offering prayers for Melvine's complete healing and new strength, vim, vitality, energy and desire to live and move up to the next higher level.
We want to thank you for your giving to this electronic evangelical/Pentecostal Holiness newsletter and sharing with your family, friends, and church people.
