Melvine was feeling great on Sunday morning. She got ready before I could. She was spurring me on to get ready.
We were a few minutes late for church. Nevertheless, Ken Phillips and George Chassevent met us at our car and helped us with our walkers. Melvine chose to use her rollator walker rather than a transport chair. What a blessing it was to see those we love and have worshiped with for many years. We have a number of younger ladies and men who are attending our church too.
There were a few other visitors, but I never got to talk with them.
Our pastor, Terry Kesling, announced that he has been our pastor now for 2 years.
He and his wife, Pam, have recently moved from Winder, GA, near us, to Winterville, GA, on the east side of Athens. Actually, they are closer to our church now. Several of our young men helped them to move.
We went to Red Lobster in Athens, for Sunday dinner. We invited Claudia Strickland, a dear friend, to dine with us.
The food was great, and we receive excellent service.
We got to meet the new manager.
We hope you all have a good week.
Your friend in all seasons,
Hugh
