Mary Lou Mullins Parker, 85, of Roanoke, VA, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 17, 2017.
She was preceded by her parents, Mabel and Glenn "Moon" Mullins; and her husband, Giles Berkley Parker, Sr.
Mary Lou and her husband owned and operated Parker's Seafood where she worked until she was 81 years old.
Surviving are her daughter, Vickie Martin and husband, Marty; sons, Glenn Parker and wife Sharon, Chris Parker and wife April; grandchildren, Ashlee Rivers and wife, Feather, Whitney Martin, Brooke Parker, Alex Parker and wife, Jordyn, Mikayla Parker, Ananiya Parker and Jeremiah Parker; brothers, Eddie Mullins and wife, Nellie, Glenn Mullins and wife, Pat; sister, Bonnie Bentley and husband, Mike; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Roanoke Rescue Mission or to Carilion Hospice.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Walter L. Wood and the Rev. Betty Davis.
Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m Monday at Simpson Funeral Home, 540-366-0707.
