Margaret Ann Parker Firebaugh of Roanoke went peacefully to her heavenly home on Wednesday September 27, 2017. She was born on January 5, 1933 in Roanoke a daughter of the late Giles Berkley and Hona S. Parker. Margaret was the wife of the late James M. Firebaugh.
Margaret was a lifetime member of New Life Christian Ministries.
Surviving are her sons, James M. Firebaugh, Jr. of Delaware, Mark L. Firebaugh, of SC, and Todd P. Firebaugh of Roanoke; grandson, Cory Firebaugh of SC. Margaret also leaves behind her sisters, Beverly P. Lucas, of Troutville and Barbara P. Hurst of Arizona; brothers, Robert L. Parker of Roanoke, James W. Parker of Blue Ridge, and many in-laws.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rhonda Wood Missions Uganda Fund, c/o New Life Christian Ministries, 5745 Airport Road, Roanoke, VA 24012.
A service celebrating Margaret’s life will be held 2:00 p. m. Sunday October 1, 2017 at Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Walter Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p. m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
