Well, we lived upstairs and I was also afraid to stay by myself in the funeral home. One night we went to pick up a body and since it was in another county, we had to go by the jail house to get a body removal permit. So, at the jail house, with the dead man in the back, my husband jumped out of the hearse and said "I'll be right back."
It was dark and there was a river behind the jail. Looking around all I could think was . . . if that dead man moves, I will be joining Jesus and Peter walking on the Water!
