JULY NEWSLETTER
Eupen
On July 14, the city of Eupen, Belgium experienced torrential rain which led to catastrophic flooding. IPHC Missionaries, Mark and Jeannie McClung, pastor a recently established church in the city. Unfortunately, the first floor of their facility was flooded leaving major repairs. However, in the face of great loss, our IPHC churches in Belgium and Germany came together to serve the city. From cleaning up property damage to water distribution, our IPHC family when faced with crises, moved into action to meet the needs of others.
Would you please consider contributing to People to People Disaster Relief? We will be sending funds to assist repairs to the church and for community outreach. Your investment in Disaster Relief will ensure our church in Eupen can continue to serve as a beacon of hope for their community.

A note from an IPHC missionary:
“Since the moment we arrived on the field there has been a special relationship with Binu Lama. She’s a Minister to sex trafficking victims, language teacher, translator, wife, & mother to her family. Because of Binu, our family learned the Nepalese language to survive the daily grind of being independent in the busy streets of Kathmandu. As well as learned crucial cultural lessons that would prove invaluable in months and years to come. Binu has traveled with us and helped build the vision of IPHC Nepal as well as translated crucial materials for the School of Ministry in Nepal. But, at the end of the day, she’s a trusted friend and co-laborer in Christ. She’s a special individual and our hearts and lives will forever be knitted together.
Around this time last year, Binu’s husband, Isaac Lama, who is a manager of a large Christian business here in Kathmandu as well as a house church pastor, became ill. After many visits to different hospitals, the diagnosis was made that he had severe kidney failure. To make matters worse, he is a rare “O” blood type. Here in Nepal, because of the organ trade in the black market, the government put very strict laws in place for organ donors. Isaac had few options to stay alive, his donor had to have type “O” blood as well as, be a close family member. After a time of calling and asking around, they soon realized that there would not be any donor available to help him. A couple of months ago, after what seemed as if all hope was lost, Binu and Isaac found out that there was a risky procedure being made available to them, that they may qualify for. Binu is going to be Isaac’s donor, they will undergo a new and high profile procedure that will allow Binu’s kidney, although a different blood type, to be transplanted to her husband. It has come at a great cost though. The final bill will be somewhere around $15,000 to $17,000. They have already raised $10,000.”
From the Director:
Ministry of Medicine is partnering with our missionaries in Nepal to raise the additional $5,000-$7,000 needed to cover the kidney transplant. I have met Binu on a trip to Nepal. Binu has a sweet spirit. Her husband, Issac, is in serious need. Will you please join me in giving towards this need?
