A Renewed Call for a Revival of Singing the Great Hymns, Gospel and Spiritual Songs of the Church in our Worship Services.
In our modern era of the church, I have noticed that in some of our churches, not all, there is an absence of singing the great hymns and Gospel songs of the church. Consequently, our youth, young couples and older people are not getting in worship the kinds of Biblical theology that has been put to music to satisfy the souls of the worshipers and prepare them for daily living as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
During the last eight months of Melvine's battle with stage 3 ovarian cancer, my spirit has been bolstered and my faith strengthened by singing the great hymns of the church.
I feel compelled to continue a series of publishing some of the hymns and Gospel songs that have stood the test of time and have provided a solace for peace in the battles of life, an affirmation of one's salvation and walk with Jesus Christ, and a comfort to those who know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Please allow me to go on record that the song I have chosen for today is a reality in my life as well as Melvine's. We thank God for all of you who have supported us with your prayers, cards, emails, and letters. There has been and continues to be an endless flow of communications from you to remind us of God's love and faithfulness through you our dear readers.
Today, let us read and hear the hymn entitled, "Great is Thy Faithfulness."
"Great is Thy Faithfulness."

1 “Great is Thy faithfulness,” O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
“Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!”
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided--
“Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!
2 Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
3 Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
