I was determined to go to church on Sunday morning. I got up early took my shower and shaved. I checked my vital signs, ate a light breakfast of cereal, blueberries, and milk. I took all my meds and got ready to go to church.
However, Melvine was hurting in her stomach. I had already prepared her medications. I took her vital signs, gave her her meds and recorded them in my computer. Greg got up and prepared Melvine's cereal with milk.
Joyce McKay offered to drive me to the church, but I felt Melvine should not be left alone. So, we all stayed home and watched Christian telecasting on TBN and we heard some excellent sermons. However, I had rather attend the worship service at our church in Athens, Christian Life Worship Center where Terry Kesling is our pastor. He and his wife, Pam, do a good job as a pastoral team.
I communicated with Chris and Krissy McKenzie that we would not be coming to church.
Greg played the piano for Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church. Their pastor has moved to Colorado and today they had a visiting lady Presbyterian minister to conduct service and preach.
Melvine was somewhat confused today. She wanted me to make an appointment for her to see her oncologist. She had forgotten that Dr. Jane Huang has referred her to Hospice Home Care. She told me tonight at 11 o'clock that she needed another pain pill. She said she was hurting in her stomach. Then, she told me she was concerned about me what I would do without her when she dies. I assured her that the Lord will provide for me.
In spite of the symptoms we are seeing and Melvine is experiencing, we are still trusting God to heal Melvine and help Greg and me, along with the Hospice professionals, to care for Melvine's every need.
