Gleanings from Men & Women of Faith in God
The Apostle Paul
Titus 3:2
speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.
NKJV
+++++
Pastor Robert Morris
"God wants to prosper us, but for the right reason -- so that we can be a blessing to others."
+++++
Pastor Charles Swindoll
There’s nothing like God’s people assembling in worship to seek God’s face.
Together, His presence deepens.
Together, our joy increases.
Together, our burdens lighten.
Together, our convictions strengthen.
+++++
Joyce Meyer
As born-again Christians,
we have everything in us—through Christ—that we need to do everything we need to do.
+++++
Ruth Bell Graham
In the front of the little book given to Anne Graham Lotz, Ruth penned these words:
Thou art coming to a King,
Large petitions with thee bring,
For His grace and power are such,
None can ever ask too much!
So feel free to ask! But leave a blank space under your request so you can record the answer! Because Jesus said if we ask we will receive.
+++++
Max Lucado
In Max Lucado's book, Grace for the Moment, a daily devotional book, he quotes from Hebrews 4:16, "Therefore let us approach with confidence to the throne of grace, in order that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need" (NEB).
He wrote the following: "Did you note those last two words? "Timely help."
"Not too soon, nor too late. Just on time."
[Editor's comment: I believe God would have us love and appreciate all these fellow travelers who share inspiring moments of truth with us. The Apostle Paul made this inciteful comment when he wrote, " . . . whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future — all are yours, 23 and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God" (1 Cor. 3:22-23, NIV).
