From Hugh H. Morgan, Editor
In spite of continued health issues, going to see doctors, getting prescriptions filled, and having to order pressure stockings, and much more . . . the work of this ministry to you must continue and go forward.
On Wednesday I received an email from veteran missionary James Eby from Egypt. Think of that. James was writing to thank me for promoting his new book. He was there training national leaders.
Then, I got a telephone call from my great friend Leroy Baker from Texas. He was calling to check on me and to see how it went with my appointment to my urologist. He and Evelyn offer prayers for me daily.
On Tuesday, Bishop Tim Lamb, my conference superintendent, called and prayed with me. It was a powerful prayer. I am grateful for spiritual leaders who are interested in my well being.
I am taking lots of medications. One is a high-powered antibiotic that I take one tablet every 12 hours. I have to awaken at one o'clock or just stay up to take it. I am taking pain pills, and yet my pain level at times would register a 7 out of a 10.
I remember the Apostle Paul making a request for prayer for himself and he listed his prayer request specifically. So, I believe it is alright to ask you to remember me in your prayers.
Here is what Paul wrote:
Rom 15:30-33
Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me, 31 that I may be delivered from those in Judea who do not believe, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints, 32 that I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you. 33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
NKJV
Thank you for praying for me, Melvine, and Greg.
