Emmanuel College is pleased to announce that the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) granted Level III status to the College on December 7, 2021. This action enables the College to move forward in its strategic plan to offer master’s degrees.
The College is now in the process of developing four online graduate programs as follows: Master of Education in Elementary Education, Master of Science in Exercise Science, Master of Divinity, and Master of Ministry. These programs will launch in the fall of 2022. Each program has been in lengthy development over the last several months. They will be rolled out as the finishing touches are concluded for each.
Director of Institutional Research and the School of Education Assessment Coordinator, Dr. Cyndee Phillips shares what will set Emmanuel's Master's of Elementary Education program apart from the rest!

“Offering master’s degrees is an important milestone for Emmanuel College and the next logical progression of our academic offerings,” said President Ron White. “We are delighted that SACSCOC has enabled us to move forward with our plans to develop graduate studies. These programs will be primarily online enabling students to enroll and study from anywhere.”
SACSCOC accredits nearly 800 institutions primarily in the southern region of the United States. Institutions are accredited to grant specific degrees which are classified by six levels. Moving to Level III status means that Emmanuel College may now develop and offer graduate educational programming in the master’s degree category.
“The SACSCOC approval allows Emmanuel College to expand our mission to integrate faith and learning beyond undergraduate programs,” said Vice President for Academics, Dr. Janet Coleman. “We now can impact graduates and their learning and profession as well. It’s a significant time in the history of Emmanuel College.”
