In June 18, I was installed as Pastor of the Holmes Memorial Church by outgoing Pastor, Bishop James D. Leggett. I am so excited and honored to serve this historical congregation.
I was especially honored to have Betty by my side. She is an excellent Pastor's wife and companion. We recently celebrated 43 years of marriage. Betty graduated from Holmes Bible College in 1973. I followed the next year in 1974.
President James D. Leggett has now turned Holmes Bible College over to my direction.
The Leggetts have moved to their home in Falcon, NC. Betty and I will be moving to Greenville, SC on August 12--13. Our full time work begins then. The fall semester begins with the first day of class on August 23.
Since the 18th of June, I have been close enough to Greenville, to fly or drive there for Sunday services and week end activities. I have completed my first series of sermons entitled The Four Prayer Points of Dr. Bill Bright--laborers, open doors, supernatural resources, and lasting fruit. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Preaching and the fine people of the church. I have felt at home.
It is an honor to follow Bishop Leggett as President and Pastor. Miracles have happened at the college and the church under his direction. The college is debt free with a student life center is being completed for the fall semester. The foundation is being poured for a new girl's dorm. The church has been relocated to the new campus and is in a beautiful and spacious building. Well Done, Bishop Leggett!!
I will be providing more information about all the changes after relocation.
For now, I am very excited about the future. I have enjoyed greatly my time in Oklahoma City and finish my term as EVUSA Director with joy and peace.
I leave a fantastic team and will miss them greatly. It has been a joy to work with them to plant and grow churches, work with our chaplains, and to lead the work in ethnic ministries etc.

Betty and I eagerly step into the future, feeling greatly that we are led of the Lord to return to our alma mater. We are somewhat overwhelmed. But know that He is Jehovah--Jireh.
[Editor's comment: I believe that Bishop D. Chris Thompson and Betty are following the direction of the Holy Spirit and that their ministry will be fruitful and productive. They have been obedient to the call of God. Now is the time for us to pray for them and support the college not only with our prayers but with the resources God gives to us to give.]
