I have talked with both Bishop James D. Leggett and Bishop Chris Thompson to confirm the word of mouth announcement I had heard. My philosophy is trust but verify. It is true.
Bishop Chris Thompson told me that he will finish his term of office and that will end at the close of the 28th General General Conference in Orlando in July 2017. He will assume his duties and responsibilities as the President for Holmes Bible College following our General Conference.
There is no doubt about it that in the providence of God that Bishop Chris Thompson is the man prepared to carry Holmes Bible College to the next higher level and with an exponential growth in the student body. He is well-known by the pastors and churches in the IPHC.
[An addendum: Bishop Thompson holds a Bachelor of Theology from Holmes Bible College, a Bachelor of Arts from Campbell University and a Master of Ministry from Southwestern Christian University. He currently serves as executive director of Evangelism USA and vice chairman of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) as well as superintendent of the Acts2Day Conference. He is chairman of the Chaplains Ministries, IPHC. He plans to complete his current term in these roles and will transition to Holmes Bible College after the 28th General Conference.]
