I have often thought that of all the places I could have been stationed in the Air Force at that particular time in our nation's history, God in His providence permitted me to be at Wright-Patterson AFB to meet and minister to 31 POW's and hear their stories first hand.
It was in my heart and mind to write a tribute to Senator John McCain who served our country as a naval aviator and after being shot down, was confined to a prison in North Vietnam for more than 5 years. Time ran out, but I have been able to find on the Internet the memorial service where John McCains body lies in state at U.S. Capitol.
Now, I want to share with you the benediction delievered with excellence by Barry Black, Chaplain to the United States Senate, followed by a heart-felt tribute by Vice President Mike Pence, and other congressional leaders.
