A memorial service for Anna Hayford will be held today Saturday, March 18 at 1 p.m. at The Church On The Way in The Living Room, located at 14300 Sherman Way, Van Nuys, CA 91405.
This statement was sent from the leadership of the church Jack and Anna pastored, "We are all, family and friends alike, grateful to God for the time He has allowed us to enjoy the wonderful gift of Anna Hayford. Living under the sovereign timing of God allows us to experience His unfathomable mercy and enjoy the rich rewards of His immeasurable grace. Anna's life verse brings comfort to all during this time: 'The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him'" (Nahum 1:7), the press release read.
It continued, "Anna Hayford will be greatly missed on this side of eternity. Pastor Jack, along with each of their four children are grateful for God's grace during this time, and today they are rejoicing over her peaceful and victorious home-going."
[Editor's Comment: To Jack Hayford and his family we want you to know that we have loved you and your wife for many years. I was never privileged to meet Anna. What a courageous and victorious Christian she was. Her favorite or life verse is so comforting, "The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him" (Nahum 1:7).
Jack Hayford often spoke to IPHC audiences. I remember well his speaking at the King Memorial Lectures at Emmanuel College. What a blessing he was to all of us. His teaching about the devotional tongue that is given to Spirit-filled believers was of great interest to me. He helped me to more fully understand what God had given me. My mother prayed in tongues daily. I know, I often heard her early in the morning on her knees praying. That is something that has been an anchor for me in my faith. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is essential for all of us who love Jesus and want to do His will in preaching the Gospel and in our witness to Jesus to others. May the comfort of the Holy Spirit be in abundance for Jack and his family.]
