Bob and Mary Ruth Curlee have been special friends of Melvine and me over the years. We served together at Southwestern College when I was president. I have kept in touch with them ever since then. Bob died a few years ago, and one day we will see him again. He was a brilliant young man and had so many talents.
In Mary Ruth's letter she wrote: "I wanted you to know how very blessed I was by the April 2 edition of Hugh's News. Both Dr. Frank Tunstall's Easter devotional as well as Dr. R. C. Sproul's exposition on the Wrath of God were especially meaningful to me as I prepared my heart for the celebration of Easter Sunday. J. Lee Grady's words were also helpful during this time of political conflict."
Mary Ruth sent a contribution to Hugh's News, too, which meant so much to me.
Mary Ruth is the daughter of Mrs. Lila Isaac, a former Director of Woman's Auxiliary now renamed Women's Ministries. Bob and Mary Ruth took Mrs. Lila Isaac into their home to care for her in her final years on planet earth. She was a gracious lady, and was very kind to me when I was president of Southwestern College.
